You don't look your age; I'd never thought you're over fifty

You don’t look your age; I’d never thought you’re over fifty.

Question: The word “I’d” is a contraction of “I had”?
Can I leave it out and just say “I never thought you’re over fifty”?

Thank you!!!

Poor grammar. “I’d” is “I would”. There is a missing word “have”:

I would never have thought that your’re over fifty.

You might hear this expressed with a double abbreviation in casual speech:

I’d 've never thought…

Might be pronounced quickly more like:

I’da never thought…

It is grammatically incorrect but is sometimes said in casual conversation because “I’d have” takes more effort to say
