Seeking french intermediate 2+ material with good audio quality

Hi, does anyone have any recommendations for intermediate 2 or advanced 1 material in french which was professionally recorded please? I must have very delicate ears, but everything I’ve opened recently mainly sounds like hissing to me and I just can’t listen to it. I’m open for all topics - at this point the sound engineering takes precedence over the writing!

Audiobooks with e-books accompaniment from Audible/Amazon or similar retailer. If you’re in Europe, there are probably other options to purchase these.

Once you reach Intermediate 2 and above, books are really the only thing that will have the text and audio accompaniment with the vocab level that you’d wanna work with.

This is a series of Canadian podcasts on various interesting topics. Transcripts are provided for all episodes. You are free to import them

La France Mysterieuse, available on Audible is also excellent. 60 short stories on interesting aspects of French history. I was able to start reading it comfortably in Intermediate 1.

The Audiobook for the Hobbit is also excellent, but you have to make sure to get the correct translation as the one on Audible, which is this one by Daniel Lauzon.

I also have the audiobooks and ebooks for the French series Le Roi Maudits, but it’s too advanced for me. They are excellent books, I’ve read them in English, but they are still too advanced for me.

Hi, check this course. You’ll find some intermediate and advanced material. I hope the sound is good enough for you. Recording in the outside and interviewing people is not always easy when we are in the street or in a public event. But I think the podcast and the inside recordings are good quality. Tell me what you think

A few years ago I put together these courses from rfi.fr:

There are a few hundred lessons of about 3 mins in duration on words / phrases used in French. Very good for level upper intermediate or higher, and sound quality is excellent (as you’d expect from a professional radio station).
