So a little confusing, the pronunciation for 金 as per the lesson is ‘kane’ but uses the spelling ‘kimu’. I looked it up and it is a nanori. How does the nanori pronunciation make a difference?
“Kimu” is only used as a reading for someone’s name, eg 金正恩.
In this entry, it is used to mean “money” so the reading/romaji spelling is “kane”
