In the past, we had some heated argument on LingQ about the (ir)relevance of “pitch accent” in Japanese.
Here´s some new background info by Dogen, who has specialized on this subject:
“You’re actually going to be really surprised—once you can hear pitch, you’ll notice how bad your pitch is” (Dogen)
