Is there a way to hide the furigana when studying Japanese? It is sometimes incorrect and, most importantly, I want to train myself to not rely on it.

After you open a lesson, you will find the settings button on the top right and there you can switch off Romaji and Hiragana.
You can do the same from the Home Page, Settings button → Reader Settings tab.
