it may be a typo I would worry about words you do not find in dictionaries. There will be more.

For what it’s worth, I found this ‘explanation’ which may or may not be correct: ÎNCOTROV’A adv. Într-o direcţie oarecare, undeva. [Acc. si: încotr’ova] - Încotro + va. http://www.vocabular.ro/letter.php?letter=i (Scroll down until you see the word listed & click on it).
In other words, it’s an adverb, & means ‘in some way, somewhere’ [Încotro = where, wither, whereto] + va [(similar to undeva) somewhere]. But Steve would know better about the ‘va’.
Please don’t misunderstand or misread me or take any offence…:), but I noticed that you have some 13 languages on your profile, & I’m wondering if that’s the reason why you’re having so much trouble remembering Japanese and so on? I couldn’t possibly learn anything if I tried to do a fraction of that. Also, the Romanian lesson looked rather difficult for a beginner, but that’s just me…

I found the text very difficult you are right, but I could not find much easier content. Does not matter, I gave up on Romanian for know, sticking to some 4 or 5 languages.
Don’t worry I did not misunderstand you, maybe you are right and I have too much on my mind, I opened another post on this. I just want to learn as much as possible, but maybe I should go one by one!
