Hi, how would this sentence be translated into English? I tried with dictionaries but I don’t really get out of it…
“O rapaz rabino e rabugento rabisca na régua.”

Something like “The naughty ill-humored boy doodles on the ruler.”

Rabino (or rabi) is also the name for a Jewish priest. Though the sentences make sense, the main purpose of the lesson is to show the different pronunciations of “r”, depending on its position in the word.

“O rato roeu a rolha da garrafa do rei da Rússia” is considered a tongue twister (trava-línguas in Portuguese), and it is not easy to say it fast. Another one is “Um tigre, dois tigres, três tigres” or “Três tristes tigres” .
