Is this word a typo? Làgana ? None of the dictionaries I checked had anything close to it.
Hi. It is a Latin term, the name of (as the text says) an early predecessor of pasta. Lagana is the plural, you surely will find the singular “laganum” for further info.
I would hit the ignore button in this case.
