I'm finding the community definitions (or hints) inadequate

I’m working my way slowly through the “Simple Dialogues in Hebrew,” and I’m finding the community definitions (or hints) for the Hebrew words often to be wrong or inadequate. So I’m adding my own definitions from the online dictionaries to almost every word that I don’t know. For me, at this point, it’s most of the words. It’s pretty tedious. I hope others can benefit from this too. But I’m not sure what “hints” pop up for other users.

We may need to ask on the support section so that the developers see it… So far as I can tell, most of my attempts at editing haven’t worked. You are using Morfix I trust?

Actually, I’m mostly using the Context Reverso. When I go back over words that I’ve added definitions to, I do see my own definitions. But I guess other people see something else. I’m not sure? Does it use some kind of algorithm to pick what pops up as the “community” definition or hint? (edit: I have now switched to Morfix as my primary translator.)

Yep, I have found the same thing. Most definitions/translations are just plain wrong. Very sad. This is why I think “learning” on LingQ can actually be WORSE than learning with other, more accurate resources. There is nothing worse than have to “relearn” or “unlearn” a language.
