Would it be possible to add a feature where I could make a LingQ for angreift by secting both because the meaning of grief changes if it is not associated with the prefix

I would use the comments box for this. For the main definition I would put “grips, grabs, snatches” - then in comments I would add:
greift über - overlaps
greift an - assaults, attacks, offends
greift ein - accesses
and so on.

I will mark a word as known when I know the main definition - at some point I’ll come across the infinitive übergreifen and learn that in its own right. In any case, it isn’t marking a LingQ as known that helps you learn it - you’ll do that by repeated exposure while having the definition to hand.
