Can i use the word : " beruflich " instead ?
I am interested in the answer too since it seems to me that you could use “beruflich”, but it doesn’t sound quite right for some reason. I hope somebody can give a definitive answer.
Still, it would be good to actually give the sentence where the word is used in your question.
Quote: “Bist du geschäftlich hier oder im Urlaub?”
“beruflich” ist mit dem Beruf verbunden, z.B.: berufliche Ausbildung.
" geschädlich" ist mit dem Geschäft, Business verbunden, darum sagt man: Geschäftsreise.
Hier ist besser “gerschäftlich”, als Gegensatz zur “privaten Reise”.
