"invita" means "interesting"?

“Tio ne aspektas ege invita”
in translation described like:
“That seems not very interesting”

But “invita” means “invite”
And “interesting” in esperanto will be “interese”

I feel a bit confused about that. Can you explain me?

Invita = inviting like in “It doesn’t sound inviting.”

“Interesting” = interesa (interese is the adverb)
“to invite” = inviti
