I get confusing results for this one. Does it mean cliff and/or raven?

Krkavec means raven, krkavčí is adjective. I can’t think of any connection with cliff.
We call “krkavčí matka” = “raven mother” a mother who does not care about her children.

Paule will tell you that we have the same word in German “Rabenmutter”

P.S. He might not tell you, since I’ve just done it.

In Russian we say “cuckoo’s children”, such mother is described as a cuckoo.

Thanks again, Petr
