What does the 文法的什么规则 translate to?

I would say “whatever grammar rules.” The writer doesn’t have any specific rules in mind.

how did you get ‘whatever’, i thought it usually means any/anything, all or everything/every?

Hmm, yes in the context 都 could cause 什么 to mean “every.” In that case it means “Or/maybe (you) forgot all the grammar rules.” But 什么 alone means what or any. I translated “any” as “whatever” in order to get something that could be stated in English (given what I was thinking it meant in this context).

I may have gotten this wrong and will look at it more closely once the site is working.

edit:
I’ve looked it over and listened to the audio now. It’s clear that 都忘了 applies not just to 规则 but also to 词汇 in the preceding clause. 词汇 isn’t qualified by 什么. If the grammatical pattern here is supposed to be 什么+都, it’s strange that half of it is not covered by 什么. It also doesn’t sound to me that there is, or should be, some emphasis on forgetting “all” the grammar rules.

Also, I think he says not 你要学了词汇 but 你要学的这个词汇. I think the transcriber didn’t think the 这个 added enough meaning to keep… I am thinking that 什么, too, is adding very little meaning here.
