Download LingQ content and import to alternative sites

LingQ provides an API to download lesson content and I want to make sure is that ok to import them in alternative sites?

No, this is not okay. You have to ask the provider for permission to share the content on alternative sites.

I for myself have created the content that I provide escpecially and exclusively for LingQ. For some content I got permission from the author to share it on LingQ. But this permission is for LingQ only.

Thanks for the reply, Vera. I was looking at the following two texts and they seem to contradict each other:

One says all content on LingQ is licensed under CC BY-ND 3.0 and becomes so if you make it public. CC BY-ND 3.0 allows to copy to alternative sites.
The other says all content is licensed under CC BY-ND 3.0 or other license if mentioned anywhere in the content or content description.
I guess the later is the correct terms today.

Yes, otherwise it would not be possible to share material where we got permission to share it on LingQ only. No provider would give a general permission  I guess a lot of users don’t know about these terms, and forget to mention that they have only permission to share that content on LingQ. Other content is maybe shared under a different license primarely. I think that this paragraph in the LingQ terms is difficult. For example Wikipedia articles under a special license and you have to use this license for all derivates. To change the license is not allowed. I’m not a lawyer, but I’ve read several articles about this topic and it is a difficult topic.
