Hi, I thought that ça meant that. So when should I use cela or ça if they mean the same thing? Thanks
It seems they are essentially the same thing.
“ça” can replace cela, especially in informal speeches because it is shorter.
The page linked below explains ce, cela, ceci, and ça - it says ça is an informal replacement for both ceci and cela.
