Intéresse? Should it really be that?

The text says:
“Choisissez une leçon qui vous intéresse.”

Why is it “intéresse”? Shouldn’t it be “intéressez” because of the “vous”?? Which verbal form is it? I’m confused now.
Please explain it for me. :slight_smile: Thank you in advance. Merci.

It is “intéresse” because the subject of the verb is “une leçon” (3rd person), not vous.

You know in French an object pronoun comes before the verb, as in “Je t’aime” (OP “te” comes before the verb “aime”).

So, “une leçon qui vous intéresse” ==> a lesson that(qui) interests(intéresse) you(vous)
It is not “a lesson you are interested in”.
