when somebody speaks RIGHT NOW , this " right" denotes emotion ? is it totally optional ?
In that expression, “right” is an intensifier. You could leave it out and say they are speaking now, but by putting in “right” you are emphasizing that it is happening at this very moment. In Spanish, “ahora mismo”.
