How would you translate this sentence?

How would you translate this sentence?

I am just guessing, but I think it means “who is in this room”?

Dare ga Imasu ka? = who i

Kono heya - this room.

heya no naka ni = in the room? Can someone clarify this?

この(this) へや(room) の(of) なか(inside)に(at, in, to) だれ(who)が(SUBJECT MARKER) います か(is)?

=> Who is at the inside of this room? => Who is in this room?

hey could you please explain the no particle and the imasu particle just confused about these? its general uses etc

の corresponds to “of”. It’s the particle to express possession: AAの BB = BB of AA.
ex) わたしの 本 = my book. へやの なか = inside of the room. いえの そと = outside of the house.

います is the polite sentence ending form of いる, “there is”, which is used mainly for people rather than things.
ex) くるまの そばに ひとが います。There is a man by the car.

could you directly translate the sentence to be this inside of the room at who there is? so who is in the inside of this room? could you translate this a bit better?
