Imagine a crowd of people in the street being hosed with water from a fire fighter’s hose. That is a lot of water moving at a high velocity. It is a powerful force and it knocks the people down to the ground and keeps them there, flat on the ground in a wet messy jumble of bodies. Those people are defeated. Those people were literally hosed down with a powerful and focused stream of water.
