Japanese TED talks with transcripts

Hey,
Looking for TED talks in Japanese with the transcripts. If somebody could point me in the right direction, that’d be great!
Thank you

Perhaps can try Japanese Tedx talks, and then get the closed captions off YT.

Eg. sites like this - http://www.tedxtokyo.com/ja/ have videos like this - http://www.tedxtokyo.com/talk/toshio-tanahashi/ - which are hosted on YT here - The cuisine of the monk: 棚橋 俊夫 at TEDxTokyo 2014 - YouTube - putting the YT url into a site like this - http://downsub.com/ - will then give you the transcripts.

Great suggestion! Had never heard of downsub before. Just downloaded subs from a ted talk on youtube (Love others to love yourself | Keiichiro Hirano | TEDxKyoto 2012 - YouTube) so I can confirm it works.

Thank you, very helpful!

Good idea for manually created subs, but auto created subs are so bad that they aren’t worth using imo.

Anyone interested in typing proper transcripts for the videos?

Yes, no question, at present.

I was perhaps more giving an outline of a possible process, which works well for me for Chinese (but manual subbing is possibly more widespread there).

On a related tangent, interesting - to me at least - is the rise of speech to text programs (such as Baidu’s Deep Speech 2), which could possibly upend the search for manual transcripts once and for all.
