what do you all think is the easiest romance language to start out with first if you don’t speak any of them
I don’t think there are huge differences in difficulty. Only, for some you encounter them more in the beginning, for some more at a later stage.
For beginners, it can be argued that French or Portuguese present a higher “entry barrier” because of pronunciation and the difference between pronunciation and spelling. Romanian is a bit more removed in terms of vocabulary.
So, I’d say Spanish and Italian are the easiest for beginning English speakers. However, over time, there isn’t so much difference. Expect about one year and a half of daily work to become fluent in any of them.
yeah I think so as well I usually don’t study language because of it’s supposed difficulty
