Where did the cheers come to us and how do you make a fine "kololo"? | Curious here
So how do you make a fine cololo or cheers,
And what is the connection between them and the expulsion of demons and Kurdish fighters fighting ISIS?
So yeah, usually just women cheering,
And it is a very unique sound because it combines high tone sound, strong volume
And a tremor known in the musical language as "vibrato."
How powerful is it?
A woman cheering, what a wonderful word, into a microphone indoors,
Can produce a cheerleader with a power of about 85 decibels.
The average call volume between two people is 60 decibels,
But this is an algorithmic unit of measure,
From the noise of a passing bus, it is about 1.5 times louder.
"Take care of the ... our warriors."
What we're hearing right now is about two and a half seconds of cheering
And then ordinary speech of the same speaker.
The cheers are much much more stable throughout their length than in ordinary speech.
It can also be seen that the frequency of cheers in general is much higher,
About 360 Hz compared to 205 Hz.
The high frequency of the cheers makes the matter even worse,
And prolonged exposure to them may even impair hearing.
But this does not really happen because they are known to last only a few seconds.
So how do you even get that elusive sound?
It's not simple, but in general the business rises and falls, literally,
On intense shaking of the tongue.
Each of these protrusions represents one stroke of the tongue,
About eight tongue blows in one second.
Some women move their tongue quickly to the sides
And others move it up and down.
Beyond that there are women who cover their mouths with their hands while cheering
To hide the tongue movement that is perceived as not so modest in some societies.
But next to the blocker there is another role,
It can create airflow cuts that affect the sound
Or even produce a sort of resonator box that increases the volume of the sound.
In recent years, cheers have been revitalized.
At almost every wedding, bar mitzvah or brit, the Kololu moment will come sometime.
But it was not always like that.
In Israel's first decades, the melting pot policy
Led to the secrecy of ethnic customs
Brought with them by the immigrants mainly from Arab countries and the East.
And that also included the cheers that were sometimes perceived as primitive.
There was a time in the country that they were very ashamed of it. Even from my experience
And we would ask people not to do that at our celebrations.
I mean, I remember that even I kind of closed my soul a little bit
When they did the tent (rejoicing in Iraqi) at my bar mitzvah.
The musician Haim Oliel from Sderot and the band "Lips"
Proposed it to the Hebrew Language Academy and it was approved in 2001.
And is reminiscent in its sound of the "ko-lo-lo-lo".
Rabbi of the Jewish community of the city of Colomb-Bashar in southwestern Algeria,
Call these voices of joy "the freaks",
And there is ancient evidence also for the actual use of "beeping".
In the book "Freight in the Evening" by the Jewish-Italian author
And the man of the Enlightenment movement, Shmuel Romanali, wrote:
"In the evening, the bride will be led to the groom's house to the sound of beeping ..."
Iranians are awards. Dawn, you Persia.
Yes, but I do not know how to cheer, what will I do?
Mention of them appears as early as the fifth century BCE
"I also tend to think," wrote the so-called father of history,
"Because the sound of shouting while working in the temples comes from here
"Because most of the Libyan women use it and they do it beautifully."
It is assumed that the Libyans are in fact barbarians, and that the custom has spread from them to other places.
The high intensity of the cheers that allows them to be heard at great distances
Is the reason that in the distant past they were used as a means of communication
Between different tribes or villages to inform about a happy event.
Along the way women made cheers as men went out to the battlefield
But it is precisely in recent years that Kurdish fighters have rejoiced
So that their ISIS rivals in the war in Syria knew they were on the ground and would be scared.
Why? Because ISIS fighters believe that if killed in battle by a woman,
Also in the civil war in Ethiopia between the years 1974-1991,
Fighters in TPLF, an underground organization in the north of the country,
They shouted to drive away the soldiers of the military junta.
הצטרפתי ל-TPLF בגיל 11, 12.
I joined TPLF at the age of 11, 12.
Because of the "cololo" of our soldiers, their morale did not fall,
They know the soldiers are strong.
And there were numbers themselves even when we captured them in captivity
I put that hearing the voice of the women was afraid "they will not have mercy on us",
And back to the here and now.
There are also people who believe that they have the power to fight the evil eye and spirits and demons,
And specifically in the case of an engagement the nocturnal field is removed.
There is even an argument that says that the noise they produce helps to preserve the person
During status transitions like circumcision, bar mitzvah.
And that alone can be enough to cast out some demons, no?
That this will not be a plant that can come from any country in Europe,
Cheerleaders are usually detached from the context of rhythmics.
The jubilation itself cannot be limited in rhythm, it cannot be put on a beat,
It also very much contributed to the general effect of surprise and madness
Which was around Neta and TOY.
