Download subtitles from Disney+

I was looking for some lighter shows to watch in French and subscribed to Disney plus, but I wanted to import the subtitles into lingq. This is the only way I found so far.

  1. Download chrome extension “tampermonkey.” it’s not as bad as it sounds. this is an extension that lets you add scripts into chrome.

  2. Install this script from Disney+ Subtitles Downloader

  3. open disney plus and pick a show/movie

  4. top right corner to switch subtitles and there is a download button next to each language. click your desired language

  5. take the “.SRT” file and you can import it directly into LingQ.

Just to add, after step 4, the button sometimes downloads 2 files. one is the title of what you download and the other is “title.forced.srt” this extra file can be deleted

Thank you so much for sharing this! I recently found another more manual method using the inspector, but your way was much better, it worked for me in a matter of seconds. So I’m definitely sticking with this method. Thanks for the huge time saver
