Podczas dzisiejszej lekcji wysłuchamy przykładowej prognozy pogody, nauczymy się kilku nowych słówek związanych z pogodą, a także poznamy pory dnia oraz strony świata. During today's lesson, we will listen to the example of the weather forecast, learn a few new words related to the weather, and learn about the time of day and the world.

Meteorolodzy nie przewidują dziś żadnych opadów ani silnego wiatru. Meteorologists are not forecasting any rainfall or strong wind today. Rano może być widoczna lekka mgła. In the morning, you can see a light fog. W południe temperatura będzie wynosiła od 20 (dwudziestu) stopni Celsjusza na południu kraju do 25 (dwudziestu pięciu) stopni na północy. At noon, the temperature will range from 20 (twenty) degrees Celsius in the south of the country to 25 (twenty-five) degrees in the north. Wieczorem możliwe lekkie zachmurzenie na wschodzie kraju. Możemy też powiedzieć, że coś znajduje się na północnym wschodzie lub południowym zachodzie. We can also say that something is in the north-east or south-west. Północny wiatr to taki wiatr, który wieje z północy na południe. North wind is a wind that blows from north to south. W Polsce jest to zimny i silny wiatr. In Poland it is a cold and strong wind. Mamy następujące pory dnia: rano, południe, wieczór oraz noc. We have the following time of the day: morning, noon, evening and night.

Słowa „północ” i „południe” oznaczają więc zarówno strony świata, jak i pory dnia. The words "north" and "noon" mean both sides of the world and the time of day. Przykłady: Wstałem bardzo wcześnie rano. Examples: I got up very early in the morning.

Przed południem zadzwoniłem do moich przyjaciół. In the morning I called my friends. Po południu poszliśmy do kina. In the afternoon we went to the cinema. Wieczorem poszliśmy do restauracji. In the evening we went to the restaurant. W nocy długo nie mogłem zasnąć, choć było już późno. At night I could not sleep for a long time, although it was late. Zasnąłem dopiero o północy. I only fell asleep at midnight. Opady mogą mieć postać śniegu, deszczu lub gradu. Precipitation can be in the form of snow, rain or hail.

Meteorolog najczęściej powie „Rano nie było opadów”, a my na co dzień mówimy „Rano nie padało”. The meteorologist will usually say, "There was no rain in the morning", and we say "It was not raining in the morning" every day. Jaka jest dziś pogoda? What's the weather today?
