1.01 (R) [INFO] STEP-BY-STEP FAST-TRACK PATHWAY TO THE CERTIFICATE

Everyone - and I mean everyone including this instructor - who needs to pass a test or evaluation to obtain something (e.g., driver's license, specific grade, a certificate) wants to know at the beginning of the process how best to complete that process quickly, efficiently, and successfully. Well, in this course the best process is to focus on the sections of the course marked [CERT]. These sections contain work which must be successfully completed to obtain the certificate. This process is specified below as the STEP-BY-STEP FAST-TRACK PATHWAY TO THE CERTIFICATE which is a step-by-step instructor recommended (what I would do) 12-step pathway to successfully complete work required to obtain the certificate as quickly and efficiently as possible. Note: A pdf of the recommendations in this section is attached below.

STEP-BY-STEP FAST-TRACK PATHWAY TO THE CERTIFICATE Step One Download the Reading: [INFO] PDF of Course Content for Certificate Students Only found in Lesson One. Use this to quickly search for any information you need while completing the requirements for the course. Step Two Download the Peer Review: [CERT] PowerPoint Presentation Submission and Evaluation template/example found in Lesson Four and attached immediately below. Examine this for content and format. Consider how you would modify this template/example to create your own PowerPoint presentation for submission in Lesson Four. Yes, it is acceptable just to modify this template/example rather than creating one from scratch. You can, however, create one from scratch if you choose. Coursera_PP_HealthCareDelivery.pptx

Step Three Examine the quiz in Lesson Four entitled Quiz: [CERT] Synthesize Course Content Self-Evaluation . This quiz (self-evaluation) lists all of the required content for the Peer Review: [CERT] PowerPoint Presentation Submission and Evaluation. Find the content items listed on the quiz on the template/example. Consider the content items you would include in your Peer Review: [CERT] PowerPoint Presentation Submission and Evaluation. Yes, it is acceptable just to modify or even copy (if that is the reasonable thing to do) the content items in the template/example rather than creating new items from scratch. Step Four Examine the quiz in Lesson Four entitled Quiz: [CERT] Generate an Effective PowerPoint Presentation Self-Evaluation. This quiz (self-evaluation) lists all of the required display format criteria for the Peer Review: [CERT] PowerPoint Presentation Submission and Evaluation. Examine the template/example and consider how the format criteria are displayed and how you would incorporate these criteria in your Peer Review: [CERT] PowerPoint Presentation Submission and Evaluation. Yes, it is acceptable just to modify or even copy (if that is the reasonable thing to do) the display format of the template/example rather than creating a new display format from scratch. Step Five Complete Quiz: [CERT] Lesson One Quiz. If you do not get a score of at least 80 percent on the first try, take it again. And keep taking it, if need be, until you get a score of at least 80 percent. You can take the quiz as many times as you want. If you wish, refer to the Lesson One [INFO] sections and [PREP] sections before retaking the quiz. Refer to these sections either within the Coursera course or by searching the the Reading: [INFO] PDF of Course Content for Certificate Students Only downloaded in Step One. The [INFO] sections provide information relevant to the work required for the certificate. The [PREP] sections provide practice for the certificate work. Step Six Complete Quiz: [CERT] Lesson Two Quiz. If you do not get a score of at least 80 percent on the first try, take it again. And keep taking it, if need be, until you get a score of at least 80 percent. You can take the quiz as many times as you want. If you wish, refer to the Lesson Two [INFO] sections and [PREP] sections before retaking the quiz. Step Seven Complete Quiz: [CERT] Lesson Three Quiz. If you do not get a score of at least 80 percent on the first try, take it again. And keep taking it, if need be, until you get a score of at least 80 percent. You can take the quiz as many times as you want. If you wish, refer to the Lesson Three [INFO] sections and [PREP] sections before retaking the quiz. Step Eight Complete the Quiz: [CERT] Synthesize Course Content Self-Evaluation in Lesson Four. This is a self-evaluation of the content items you have developed for the Peer Review: [CERT] PowerPoint Presentation Submission and Evaluation. If you cannot give yourself a score of 100 percent on the first try, keep iterating on your content items and completing the self-evaluation until you can do so. If you wish, refer to the relevant [INFO] sections and [PREP] sections as you iterate on the Peer Review: [CERT] PowerPoint Presentation Submission and Evaluation and complete the Quiz: [CERT] Synthesize Course Content Self-Evaluation. The [INFO] sections provide information relevant to the work required for the certificate. The [PREP] sections provide practice for the certificate work Step Nine Complete the Quiz: [CERT] Generate an Effective PowerPoint Presentation Self-Evaluation in Lesson Four. This is a self-evaluation of your PowerPoint presentation's display format. If you cannot give yourself a score of 100 percent on the first try, keep iterating on your display format and completing the self-evaluation until you can do so. If you wish, refer to the relevant [INFO] sections as you iterate on the Peer Review; [CERT] PowerPoint Presentation Submission and Evaluation and complete the Quiz: [CERT] Generate an Effective PowerPoint Presentation Self-Evaluation. The [INFO] sections provide information relevant to the work required for the certificate. Step Ten Submit your PowerPoint presentation of your design for a patient-centered health care delivery system for peer-review via the Peer Review: [CERT] PowerPoint Presentation Submission and Evaluation in Lesson Four. It should be noted that the main point of this peer-review assignment is for you to have the experience of critically judging (evaluating) the quality (content presentation and format) of a PowerPoint presentation other than your own within a forum where your judgment has meaning. Your judgment has meaning because your judgment determines your learner colleague's grade on the PowerPoint presentation assignment. Your judgment carries with it the responsibility to be critical, honest, fair, and consistent across all the PowerPoint presentations you judge; that is, the same responsibility found for any subjective judgment where the judgment outcome affects a person's life. Step Eleven Evaluate two of your learner colleague's PowerPoint presentation using the criteria specified in the Peer Review: [CERT] PowerPoint Presentation Submission and Evaluation in Lesson Four. Step Twelve Receive a score of at least 50 percent on your PowerPoint presentation in Peer Review: [CERT] PowerPoint Presentation Submission and Evaluation. The content for this PowerPoint presentation outlines your design for a patient-centered health care delivery system. As such, there are no right or wrong content items. There are only sensible and reasonable items within the content criteria specified in the course. There is also no one right way to organize the display format. There are only sensible and reasonable display format aspects within the criteria specified in the course. If you do not achieve 50 percent (if you do not receive a passing score on the PowerPoint presentation assignment) and believe it to be the result of having been evaluated by two unusually hard graders, please contact us to resolve the situation. What is next? The course certificate!! And if you choose and have the time, wander more slowly through the course [INFO] sections and the course [FUN] sections. The [INFO] sections provide information relevant to the work required for the certificate, but they also contain additional information you might find useful. The [FUN] sections provide either: 1) interesting additional information which is supplemental, but not needed for the certificate; 2) an opportunity to post your comments on a specified topic for discussion with course colleagues, if you choose to do so; or 3) an opportunity to provide feedback on the course, if you choose to do so. Links within course sections lead to external [FUN] readings not needed for the certificate work. These [FUN] links to external sites are intended to connect you to the larger "real world" of healthcare organizations. You do not have to visit these external links. Do so only if you have the interest and the time. The links also serve as resources you can take with you after you complete the course experience.
