The Happiness Team at Indian School of Business

Dr. Rajagopal Raghunathan Instructor

Dr. Raj Raghunathan is a visiting professor of marketing at the Indian School of Business (ISB) and professor of marketing at the McCombs school of business at The University of Texas at Austin. His research interests are in the area of "affect" (or emotions) and decision-making. In particular, he's interested in examining the impact that people's judgments and decisions have on their well-being. When not at in his office hard at work, Prof. Raj is usually having fun hanging out with family or friends. His hobbies include shooting the breeze, lying still on sunny beaches, reading, and playing cricket, ping pong (or table tennis) or badminton. Catherine Xavier Teaching Assistant

Catherine Xavier is Academic Associate at the Indian School of Business (ISB) and has been at ISB for 2 years. She graduated with an MBA from Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville. She is interested in pursuing a PhD in marketing/communications and hopes to get into a good school sometime in the near future. Meanwhile, she is having fun (and learning a lot) by helping "Dr. Happy smarts" teach his course on happiness, both at ISB and on Coursera. She is truly “happy” to work with Prof. Raj, and rates him as the best professor she has worked for. Catherine has also assisted a number of other professors at ISB (both permanent and visiting) with their courses. Catherine's idea of a good time is to chill out with her family and friends. Her perfect day equals hanging out with her Dad and baby-niece, Sasha, while sipping her favorite drink, coffee.

Reema Gupta ISB-Coursera Lead

Reema Gupta is the Associate Director of the Srini Raju Centre for Information Technology and the Networked Economy (SRITNE) at the Indian School of Business. Gupta is very active in organizing outreach programmes and conferences for the Centre as well as building a strong network of industry collaborators. Reema was instrumental in starting many educational and research initiatives at ISB like the CIO Academy, the Identity Initiative and the Certificate in Business Analytics Program. In addition she has developed a rich portfolio of case studies from the Indian IT and ITeS industry.

Dr. Arun Pereira

Professor Arun Pereira is Executive Director, Centre for Teaching, Learning, and Case Development at the Indian School of Business (ISB). He is also member of the Clinical Faculty at ISB, and was previously External Faculty at McKinsey & Company. He is the author of two books, and a wide range of scholarly papers. Professor Pereira has won multiple teaching awards in Executive MBA, and MBA programmes including being voted ISB's Professor of the Year in 2012 and 2013. Srikanth Chowdhary Administrator/Technical Support

Srikanth provides technical and administrative support for this online course. He works as an Associate with the Centre for Teaching, Learning, and Case Development (CTLC) and Faculty & Research (F&R) at the Indian School of Business. Besides providing administrative support for all major CTLC events like ISB's Master Teacher Program, Doctoral Consortium on Teaching and the ISB-Ivey Global Case Competitions, he is in-charge of maintaining the Centre's website. For F&R, he supports some of the data management activity. He has a Post Graduate Program in Management from United World School of Business in 2012. Neelesh Marik

Neelesh Marik is a freelance consultant and close friend of and co-traveller with Prof Raj for 25 years. Seeing through the diminishing returns of the beaten track/ rat-race, challenging the consensus trance and the dominant social narratives, and self-determining a process of learning and discovery, have been key points in the journey.
