ART OF SALES 3, 1.16 (V) Barter Exercise

1.16 (V) Barter Exercise

[MUSIC PLAYING] I have a challenge for you. Throughout this sales specialization, I would like you to test the selling skills and disciplines you are learning in a very distinct way. I would like you to take a pen and barter that pen once a week. A barter is simply a trade. I would like you to get out of your comfort zone and trade this pen for something of greater value each and every week we are together. Here's the thing. Each of your trades has to be with a complete stranger. This is a challenge that I have put in front of thousands of salespeople and students over the years, and it's one of the best ways to test new skills and disciplines. I believe that if you try this, you will emerge from the exercise a more courageous, skilled, and disciplined sales person. And that, my friends, is what this specialization is all about.
