A: 那个 人 是 谁？ A: Who is that person?

B: 哪个 人？ 那里 有 两个 人。 There are two people there.

A: 那个 男 的。 A: That man.

B: 哦 , 那 是 我 儿子。 B: Oh, that's my son.

A: 你 有 两个 儿子 ，对 不 对？ A: You have two sons, right? 他 是 你 的 大儿子 还是 小儿子？

B: 他 是 大 的 ；小 的 现在 在 日本。 B: He is the older one; the younger one is in Japan now.

A: 你 的 中文 老师 是 男 的 还是 女 的？ A: Is your Chinese teacher male or female?

B: 我们 有 两个 老师 ；一个 姓白 ；一个 姓李。 B: We have two teachers; one is named Bai; the other is named Li.

A: 哪个 是 男 的？ A: Which one is male?

B: 白 老师 是 女 的 ；李老师 是 男 的。 B: Teacher Bai is female; Teacher Li is male.

A: 两个 都 是 外国 电影。 一个 是 法文 的 ；一个 是 日文 的。

B: 我 认识 一个。

A: 是 吗？ 你 认识 哪 一 个？ which one do you know

B: 我 认识 这 一 个。 B: I know this one.

A: 这 两个 呢？ A: What about these two?

B: 我 都 不 认识。

A: 这是 什么 字？ A: What word is this?

B: 是 “大 ”字。 B: It's the word "big".

A: 不 对！ 这是 “太 ”字。 This is the word "too". 这 三个 字 ，你 都 不 认识。

A: 你 觉得 学 语法 难 还是 写 汉字 难？ A: Do you think learning grammar or writing Chinese characters is more difficult?

B: 很难说。 第八课 的 语法 很 容易 ，可是 生词 很多 ，有 的 很 难。 The grammar in Lesson 8 is easy, but there are a lot of new words, some of which are difficult.

A: 是 吗？ 这 一 课有 几个 生词？

B: 今天 老师 教 了 我们 三十个。 B: The teacher taught us thirty today. 二十个 是 难 的 ，十个 是 容易 的。 我们 明天 就 we will tomorrow

得 考生 词 小考。 Candidates take the word quiz. 可是 老师 说 ，她 只考 十个 难 的 、五个 容易 的。 But the teacher said that she only took ten difficult ones and five easy ones.

B: 我 找 我 的 《老人 和 海》。 B: I'm looking for my "The Old Man and the Sea".

A: 这里 有 两本书 ，你 来看 一下 ，哪本 是 你 的。

B: 两本 都 不是 我 的。 B: Both are not mine. 我 的 《老人 和 海 》是 英文 的 ；那 两本 都 是 中文 的。
