Hints aren't working when I highlight a full sentence "No hints available, try dictionaries below"

I tried Safari and Google Chrome, and I’m getting the same problem. I thought maybe I have bad internet connection, but the highlighting full sentences isn’t working on my phone either. Is anyone else having this problem? I’m experiencing this problem with German. (I havent tested other languages yet)

And according to my wife, iOS app has similar issue.

This does frequently happen to me in the past, but then I just re-highlight the sentence then it works. But now its not working at all.

When I select a sentence (in German), in roughly 10% of cases I get the same response from the system. Have to reselect all the same to make translation work - it is mildly annoying.
