Can't downgrade subscription without manually deleting imported lessons

LingQ is an excellent language learning app, and I really quite enjoy using it. I’ve used it to make my first successful forays into foreign languages with French and German. But I’m focusing on other things in my life right and now and money is tight so I decided to unsubscribe from LingQ.

However, an absurd roadblock has been placed in the way of me making this decision:

For those of you who don’t know French, this says “In order to downgrade your subscription, you must have less than 5 imported lessons. Delete your lessons until you have attained the limit in order to be able to delete your subscription.”

This is on the page where I have already clicked “delete my data,” which one would think would include my imported lessons. Either it is a technical limitation of the website that it cannot delete my lessons for me, or it is a conscious decision to try to get people to be too lazy to unsubscribe so the company can keep their money, because it is something of a labor to go and delete a large collection of imported lessons group by group. In any case, since I actually need this money, I am going to go in and start manually deleting all of my lessons, however long it takes. I’m simply making this post because it’s ridiculous that I have to do this. I should be able to click “delete my data,” and have it delete my data, no questions asked.

And now that I have deleted all of my imported lessons, I am getting this error:

Sorry to hear that.
