Sorry to say, the Intro Video is not very informative, nor is the website itself. But the concept seems solid and I enjoy Steve's videos on youtube.
Oh that's great! I see that you are learning Norwegian too. Check out the website NRK (If you don't know of it already). They have articles there you can import into LingQ. Here's the site https://www.nrk.no
Thanks, Mark. I worked through the first 5 levels at Duolingo before coming here, and I'm a /rnorsk subscriber at Reddit so I've benefitted from a lot of help from others. NRK is a daily read for me. Very useful. I discovered that words I read in news stories stick with me and I don't need to drill with those with Anki. That's what attracted me to LingQ.
I'm skipping through rather quickly right now to find my level here, but it looks very promising. I could just read on my own, but some structure seems to maintain the discipline to actually study every day, and I need that. I'm retired so every day is Saturday, making it easy to goof off.
Thanks for the help.
Every time you save a word or phrase you are creating a LingQ
Free accounts can create up to 20 LingQs. Once you hit this limit, you must upgrade your account to create more. Premium members may create an unlimited number of LingQs.
OK, thanks. I thought I was just checking the translation of a word. I had no idea it was saving anything.
New Words are "Blue" when you click them it gives you a "hint" of what the meaning of that word could be. Once you click one of those potential "Hints" the word will now be "Yellow" That means you created a "Lingq"
