Sharing a lesson from a YouTube video that has no subtitles, but with a transcript I wrote myself

I made my own transcript for a YouTube video that has no subtitles and therefore no way to import directly using the browser extension. I supplied a URL link to the video. The video plays in the lesson, but because there is no audio file, I am unable to make the lesson public. Anyone know how to work around this?

Hi Brian, don’t ask my why this is, but I found a solution. If you open the “more” tab and click the “import lesson” button in the android app and add the youtube video and the text like that, the audio file will be uploaded automatically. Please let me know if it worked for you.

Thanks for your reply. I am using the iphone app and you can only add either text or video. So I am unable to input my text transcript.

After you add the url of the video and click “done” a new option should appear for the text. If this doesn’t work, you can just upload the video , see if the audio has been added and add the text later. Do you get what I mean?
