Can I import a book and split it by chapter, or import a folder?

When importing an ebook, it will be split automatically on each 2000 words, it won’t split it by chapters. A course that will be created automatically.

Is there a way to manually edit where the book is split after it’s uploaded? I would like to be able to make the book more readable without having to split it up myself and upload many different files

I am still struggling with importing books. At least you have mastered importing

You can manually edit lessons after importing, you can find the Edit option under the menu at the top when you open a lesson. But keep in mind that 2000 words are the maximum allowed length for a lesson.
