이 정도만 생각했는데 I ran into this in the #34 iyagi and just curious what 정도만 is and its usage i know 정도 after nouns is similar to about. For example 1 o’ clock정도 is about 1 o’ clock but it doesn’t really fit this usage and I think it is a noun to mean degree? but even if this is right what is the usage of 정도만? Here is the full sentence for context

정도 can be interpreted as “degree”, “extent” and is often used to describe where something is on a spectrum. In the example you provided:

이 (this) 정도만 (only to this degree/extent) 생각했는데 (Although I thought) => I only thought this far (about the subject).
