Let's get some food in you first.

Question: I don't understand why the preposition in this sentence is used "in", not "for".

What does that exactly mean?

Or it just an emphasis.

Do you use that when you speak?

Is it okay to say, "let's get you some food first"?

Thank you so much!!!
