I saw a line from a movie as below:
I’m just so content taking care of other people’s pets when they’re away for the holiday.
The verb after content as an adjective should be V+ing?
Do you use that? Is it proper?

@rhess is correct. Grammatically, your example may be a short (and more common) way of saying, "I am so content when/while I am taking care of...".

Yes, that's proper. You could even use the infinitive, making it "I'm just so content to take care of..." and it would still make sense.
