Korean TV

I recently found out that there are a number of full seasons of Korean TV shows available on Netflix instant watch. The shows are all subtitled, but it’s also a fun way to get some listening practice in! Some of the shows are really sappy, but I enjoyed Secret Garden and My Girlfriend is a Gumiho - they were still a bit sappy but also pretty funny. Crunchyroll.com also has a number of Korean, Japanese, and Chinese TV shows that you can watch for free (with ads interrupting the video every few minutes).

Thats a good resource if you live out west. Wish i had access to netflicks But I live in korea =). However I don’t follow any korean tv shows. When i had time I used to watch korean documentaries online from this website:

http://www.mvibo.com/

Which is pretty much KBS ( korean broadcasting system) THey used to have ALOT more free content but I think they are pushing for people to pay for memberships now. But if people are willing to pay for Netflicks this might be a good resource for people willing to pay for korean authentic tv content directly from the broadcasters… They have all the KBS dramas, documentary and other special shows. They should have some free content aswell.

BTW, as far as I know, ever since crunchroll became a legit business they pretty much got rid of all their korean content. They mostly distribute Japanese Anime these days. All free. You can pay if you want access to newest episdoes.

Thanks for the links!

Below is an additional TV source for tons of Korean dramas, documentaries, shows, and other asian movies. There is also a Chinese language learning series. One can either subscribe or watch everything free (with ads).

@Yvette
Unfortunately, I can not watch movies on “dramafever.com” in Japan.
I saw the following message when clicking a movie.

Sorry, our videos are only available in North and South America.

@Shigeharu
I did not know that dramafever is only available in North and South America. :frowning: So sorry to hear that you cannot watch the movies. This is a real bummer because DF is such a great website. I’ll keep my eyes and ears open for any new developments.

@shigeharu I’m not sure if this will work, but it’s worth a try. Go to http://hidemyass.com/ (free) and try hiding your IP, they may not be able to tell if you are in Japan anymore. Hope that works!
