I recently came across this sentence:

I understand it means something like, "The price is too high, and since there probably aren't things that require those high-specs yet, I'm going to wait-and-see for now."

Is this roughly correct?

My main confusion is with ~とするようなこと What does this mean in the sentence? "Doing those kind of things"??

Thank you!
