Stamattina/stasera vs questa mattina/questa sera

I have seen that some sources teach ‘this morning’ and ‘this evening’ as ‘stamattina’ and ‘stasera’, whereas others teach them as ‘questa mattina’ and ‘questa sera’. So which is more correct and more natural sounding? Thanks.

There is no difference, but when we italian speak, we generally use “stasera” and “stamattina”. Maybe when you write something formal like a complaint, it is better to use the longer versions.
