You are mistaken in assuming that this is a feminine noun.

in diesem Fall(e) = in this case

Don’t be misled by the so-called dative-e for masculine and neuter nouns. It has become a bit outdated but is still used.

You are right though, that there is also a feminine noun: die Falle = the trap

There are quite a few nouns in German, where there the feminine noun ends with -e and then there’s a masculine and/or neuter noun spelled exactly the same, just without an -e. Their meaning is usually completely different. I’ll give you a few examples:

der Band = volume
das Band = ribbon, tape, tie
die Bande = gang, side fence

das Rind = cow, cattle
die Rinde = crust, cortex

der Wind = wind
die Winde = lifting jack, bindweed

der Bach = creek
die Bache = wild sow
