There are two points I do not quite understand in this chapter:
Der Polizeibeamte. Er heißt Trumpei. - In the audio, the narrator pronunces his name as “Trumpel”. Is it just a typo in the text, or “ei” at the end of a word should be read as “el”?
Deine Fahrradklingel kennt ja ganz Stapfen. - What does this mean? Is Georg trying to say that he knows the sound of his friend’s bike bell very well? Not sure how to get this “kennt ja ganz Stapfen”.
My idea of the 2nd sentence is something like: “…your bicycle bell (even with difficulties) can do it”.
But I didn’t bother much when I read it as “Stapfen” looks like not very used.

And “Stapfen” is the name of the village, region or town the kids live in. So it says: Because of the sound of your bike bell (or the way you are ringing it) everyone in town knows that it’s you on the bike.
