Could this be translated as
sie hat nämlich angst vor wasser - She is actually afraid of water.
This word namlich is a bit confusing
The closest translation is “namely”, but it can also be used to “name” the reasons etc.

It can also act as kind of a filler in sentences like
“Das ist (nämlich) nicht sehr schlau.” (That’s not very smart.)
The meaning doesn’t change with or without it. But it sound like “you should know better”, if you include it.
