History is something that has happened in the past. For example. WW2, Or the colonization of the Americas. Or The independence day your country celebrates by gaining its independence from Portugal.
A Story: Is something that is being told. It could be about something in history. For example if someone were to tell you about an event that happened in history. Or it could be just a tale. So watching a movie is watching a “story”. The movie is the medium for telling that “story”

basically history base on facts and figures so story can be imaginary
A story can be factual or fictional. A story is a factual or fictional retelling of the past, telling of the current situation or telling of the future. History is a story, presumably factual, about the past.
