Clicking "Complete Lesson" moves blue words to known. Can this be disabled?

I know that you can turn of “paging moves words to known” but at the end of a lesson, if you click “Complete Lesson” it adds the blue words to known. Can this be disabled?

My other question is, if one doesn’t click complete lesson, does Lingq record the words you’ve read in that lesson?

Thanks.

No, it can’t be disabled.

Automatic removal of blue words can be turned off in the Settings for the Reader. However, this just means that when you click the complete Lesson option on the last page, all your blue words for the whole lesson will be moved to known. There is no reason to keep blue words. The idea is that you either need to learn them or they are known. (or you can ignore words).
Having said that, you can click on all white words to make them blue again and create LingQs for them. So, if you are reading, and come across a word you incorrectly marked as known or ignored, just click on it to make it blue.

In many lessons there are words which are not in the target language (e.g. some English words in a Spanish lesson). The current system requires us to either (individually) mark them as ignored, or not to use the “Complete Lesson” function. Otherwise such word are getting incorrectly counted as learned words in the target language.

So this issue can be dealt with by the users and I presume there are more urgent issues for the LingQ developer team. However I would agree with ‘Treve’ that an option to disable this would be useful.

But if you don’t click “Complete Lesson” does it record the words read from that lesson?

What would be great (I´m not sure if this feature exists already or not) would be for the user to be change the settings to making all words become LingQs when you page, instead of becoming known words.

I am here more than 9 years and I used to know this button is forbidden for me if a lesson still has at least 1 unknown word.

The fact that you can’t turn off unknown words to known, when you complete the lesson, is essentially saying that LingQ can only be used for intensive reading. If you want to read extensively, you may only want to look up/lingQ the vital words necessary for understanding and ignore the other words. The way around this obviously is just don’t click ‘finish lesson’ when you are doing extensive reading. Seems a little limiting though?
