Question about how to cancel my subscription during the first 30 days

Dear Support-Team,

I have already sent an email to support@lingq on Monday, but haven’t received a reply yet. That’s why I’m asking here now.

I upgraded my account to a 12-Month Premium membership on January 31, 2020. After trying out LingQ for several days I realized that there are things which bother me, especially while learning Japanese, and therefore LingQ is not suitable for me. ( If it is of any interest to you, I can also tell you in detail which led to my decision to cancel my contract with you. )

Now, this is my problem:

I wanted to cancel my subscription, but after downgrading to a free membership there is still written “Premium (changing to Free on Januar 31, 2021)”. I cannot find any way to cancel my subscription on your website.
Your terms of service say: “If you initially signed up for a Basic, Plus or Premium account, and are not satisfied at any time during the first 30 days, you are entitled to receive a full refund of your membership fee.”
I would like to make use of this. How do I have to proceed to cancel my subscription and obtain my refund?

Best regards,
Corinna

Hi Corinna,
Are you sure you messaged us on Monday? I can’t see any message from you received, I even checked our spam folder.
In any case, I checked your account and you did cancelled subscription successfully but that doesn’t refund you automatically, it just set your subscription to end after your current paid period expire.

I have just refunded your payment and expired your subscription. Let me know if I can assist with anything else.

Hi Zoran,

Thank you very much for your quick response and help!
I checked my sent items once more and it is in there, so it should have been sent to you. I just noticed that I’ve used my other email address, but of course with my full name and my invoice number. Maybe that was why you couldn’t find it. In any case, everything is fine now!

Best,
Corinna
