Thanks to the internet, anime is more accessible than ever before. However, finding <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">good<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> anime for learning Japanese can be tricky. By good, I mean content that\u2019s free, comes with transcripts, and high quality.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In this post, I\u2019m going to introduce you to several resources that will let you <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lingq.com\/en\/learn-japanese-online\/\">learn Japanese<\/a> with anime. You\u2019ll have no problem finding short clips that are easy to consume. Also, there are channels like <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UC14Yc2Qv92DMuyNRlHvpo2Q\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">TOHO animation<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that upload full-length episodes in 1080p!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-176597770\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lingq.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/2.png\" alt=\"TOHO\" width=\"1054\" height=\"503\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.lingq.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/2.png 1054w, https:\/\/www.lingq.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/2-300x143.png 300w, https:\/\/www.lingq.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/2-1024x489.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.lingq.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/2-768x367.png 768w, https:\/\/www.lingq.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/2-600x286.png 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1054px) 100vw, 1054px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Cons<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">YouTube has a setting that allows you to toggle closed captioning on and off. This is extremely useful, especially if those closed captions are manually written. Unfortunately, most anime-based YouTube channels only come with auto-generated closed captions. That means they\u2019re bound to be filled with mistakes. It\u2019s an excellent resource for Japanese learners. The library is full of popular anime which come with Japanese subtitles.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-176597773 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lingq.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/5.png\" alt=\"Animelon\" width=\"512\" height=\"315\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.lingq.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/5.png 512w, https:\/\/www.lingq.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/5-300x185.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 512px) 100vw, 512px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Cons<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Animelon doesn\u2019t have the vast amount of anime that YouTube does. Also, the site has been facing some tough times recently and it\u2019s uncertain how long it will be up for. Best to use it while you still can!<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<h2><b>Anjsub &amp; Anisub<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Pros<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Like Animelon, both <a href=\"https:\/\/anjsub.com\/\">Anjsub<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/anisub.tv\/\">Anisub<\/a> come with full-length anime series that you can watch and read (thanks to their Japanese subtitles). Also, beware of popups!<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Anime on Netflix<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Pros<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Netflix comes with an excellent selection of anime which you can watch in Japanese. You can also turn on Japanese subtitles.
