Here&#8217;s how to say the days of the week:<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Monday:<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> lunes<\/span><\/i><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tuesday: <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">martes<\/span><\/i><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Wednesday: <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">mi\u00e9rcoles<\/span><\/i><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Thursday: <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">jueves<\/span><\/i><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Friday:<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> viernes<\/span><\/i><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Saturday: <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">s\u00e1bado<\/span><\/i><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sunday: <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">domingo<\/span><\/i><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You might have noticed that the days don\u2019t begin with a capitalized letter, so no need to add one.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Tricks to Help You Remember<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One thing that may help you remember the days of the week is to make it a habit to read or write them each day.\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can even go so far as changing your entire phone into Spanish (but be careful if you\u2019re new at the language as it can be extremely frustrating). The most important change would be to have the date show in Spanish. If you don\u2019t want to go all in, you can just download a Spanish calendar app.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Make A Song<\/b><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Searching &#8220;days of the week songs in Spanish&#8221; on Youtube will give you a few examples of songs to help you remember.\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\nThey&#8217;re mostly geared toward children, but super catchy and will get stuck in your head (a good thing for memorizing!) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=9nyuTTn6hVM\">This is an especially silly but fun one<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><b>Use An Acronym<\/b><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Remember using mnemonic devices to help you remember back when you were at school? Creating an acronym can definitely help you remember the Spanish days of the week too. <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The letters here are L, M, M, J, V, S, D. The days of the week are no exception. The easy part? They are all masculine <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(el).<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You&#8217;ll need to remember that when talking about specific days:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>el viernes pasado<\/em><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(last Friday)<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When talking about certain days in plural form, for example when saying that every Tuesday you eat lunch out, you can use <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201clos\u201d<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, which is the masculine plural form:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Yo como afuera todos los martes.<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0(I eat out on Tuesdays.)<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can also refer to the days by using\u00a0<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cun\u201d<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, which means \u201ca\u201d in English. When you don\u2019t know an exact date, for example you just knew it was a Thursday, you can use the word <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cun\u201d.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Un jueves en Febrero, fui al parque de diversiones. <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(One Thursday in February, I went to the amusement park.)<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When you are talking about days of the week but not specifying which one, you can say: <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201calgunos\u201d<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, which means \u201csome\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Algunos domingos, voy a la iglesia. <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(Some Sundays I go to church.)<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Knowing that the gender of the days of the week is masculine means that any adjective that goes along with these days also has to be masculine.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fue un s\u00e1bado aburrido. <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(It was a boring Saturday.)<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You also don&#8217;t have to work in the word \u201cel\u201d which is like the word &#8220;on&#8221; in English. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>Estaba pensando en ir al cine el mi\u00e9rcoles<\/em>. To make the days of the week plural, you simply add an <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cs\u201d <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to the end of the word if it doesn&#8217;t already have one. If it does, just leave it as it is.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For example:<\/span><br \/>\n<i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">los lunes <\/span><\/i><br \/>\n<i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">los martes<\/span><\/i><br \/>\n<i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">los mi\u00e9rcoles<\/span><\/i><br \/>\n<i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">los jueves<\/span><\/i><br \/>\n<i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">los viernes<\/span><\/i><br \/>\n<i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">los s\u00e1bados<\/span><\/i><br \/>\n<i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">los domingos<\/span><\/i><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Knowing the days of the week is already a huge step, but what good would it do if you knew the days of the week but didn&#8217;t know how to express yourself using them? Here are some phrases you can use.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Wan to remind a co-worker that today is Friday? Try these:<\/span><br \/>\n<i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hoy es\u2026<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (today is\u2026)<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hoy es viernes. (Today is Friday.)<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Your appointment is on Thursday (tomorrow). How do you let your teacher know?<\/span><br \/>\n<i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ma\u00f1ana es\u2026<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (Tomorrow is\u2026)<\/span><br \/>\n<i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ma\u00f1ana es jueves. (Tomorrow is Thursday.)<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><strong>Side note: <\/strong><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ma\u00f1ana<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> also means morning.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lastly, you want to be able to talk about the past, specifically\u00a0 the most recent past, or what happened to you yesterday. <\/span><br \/>\n<i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ayer fue\u2026<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (Yesterday was\u2026)<\/span><br \/>\n<i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ayer fue martes. <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(Yesterday was Tuesday.)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Side note:<\/strong> As with English, you need to use the past tense of \u201cis\u201d in Spanish which is <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cfue\u201d.<\/span><\/i><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bonus phrases:<\/span><br \/>\n<i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El d\u00eda<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (day)<\/span><br \/>\n<i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00bfQu\u00e9 d\u00eda es hoy? (What day is it today?)<\/span><\/i><br \/>\n<i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La fecha <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(date)<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00bfCu\u00e1l es la fecha de hoy? (What\u2019s today\u2019s date?)<\/span><br \/>\n<i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El pr\u00f3ximo\u2026 <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(Next\u2026) The day comes after <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">pr\u00f3ximo<\/span><\/i><br \/>\n<i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El\u2026pasado<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (Last..)
