Stanley Kaplan: Remembering a Test Prep Pioneer
 
Last year, I was preparing for the SAT test. I did many exercises at home, studied by myself using the Lingq system, and listened to many articles, stories, and audio books. But though I have been studying a lot, I am still nervous about the test.
 
I am not a wealthy student, so I had to work eight hours per day and studied English at night. In the beginning, I attended an English course. Guess how much I spent on this course? Eight hundred dollars, but my score in the simulated SAT test increased by only 20 points. So, I decided to save money by considering studying by myself.
 
My ex-colleagues in the English course demanded their money back. Unfortunately, they did not succeed.
