Snow! Yippee!

We don’t get snow in Vancouver that often so when we do it’s something I, for one, can get excited about. Actually, we got very little at the lower elevations where I live and where our office is located but just a half a kilometre up the hill they got 10 centimetres or so. I’m jealous; I love the snow! Maybe it’s a result of my childhood when any sign of snow was an excuse to go outside with my friends and have snowball fights or play tackle football in the snow. Once in a while we even had to miss school because of snow because we couldn’t get there! Of course we would then walk twice as far as the school to meet up with friends and have a football game. I hope this early snowfall is a sign of things to come this winter.

Otherwise it’s official that in Canada we are going to have an election in January. The government in power now was caught bribing officials in Quebec. The current Liberal government are such a bunch of crooks it is mind boggling and the more trouble they get into the more of our money they try to spend to buy votes. Unfortunately, the alternative to the Liberals are the Conservatives who are also quite uninspiring. However, in the final analysis you have to punish criminal behaviour and give the other guys a chance. I can’t understand anyone that could vote for known criminals.
